The Phases of the HCG Diet

Phase 1 (Whatever you want)

This is the phase that most of the dieters love the most. Phase 1 is the loading days. It is time that you can load up as much food as you want. You can eat whatever you want as long as you do not get sick. The loading days last for 2 days. The purpose of this is to prepare the fat stores for the VLCD.

Phase 2 (The heart of the diet protocol)

Phase 2 of the HCG diet is the tough part. This is when the VLCD took place. How low is the VLCD? It only requires 500 calories each day. It is indeed very low but it is safe. The HCG Injections will work in the metabolism. It also reset the brain and suppresses hunger. Do not do a VLCD without the HCG hormones because it is dangerous.

Phase 3 (Transition Phase)

The transition phase will allow the body to reset from VLCD. You will slowly add foods on your diet. However, carbs and sugar are still not allowed in this phase. Be careful about loading foods. See to it that you load on slowly to avoid shock in the stomach. Do not load on the foods that you are used to eating before. This time you will live a healthy lifestyle.

Phase 4 (Maintenance)

You load on sugars and carbs in a minimum way. Consume healthy carbs moderately. Phase 4 is the lifetime phase. It is when you will keep off the weight forever. Maintain the weight loss that you have right now. Do not go back to the old lifestyle. It will ruin all your efforts in the diet.
